Metal is often the top choice for a wide range of application due to its durability, and versatility. However, it is susceptible to oxidation, wear and corrosion. With the powder coating process, the metal becomes resistant to corrosion, wear & tear, chipping, and colour fading.

Powder Coating remains as a superior coating, as compared to the general wet coating process. It allows for much thicker coating than wet coat. It is also generally more economical and longer lasting than paint. Moreover, powder coating provides an even homogenous visual appearance while achieving superior qualities such as hardness, and scratch resistance as compared to the liquid paint.

There are 3 main steps to the powder coating process.

Step 1

First, the pre-treatment. Our coating technicians will examine the material before proceeding with the cleaning and/or application of a suitable pre-treatment of the material if necessary. The key to a long lasting and even coat is a well-prepared substrate. This simple but very important process will aid in the increase of the performance value & lifespan of the coat.

Step 2

The second step is the powder application. It may look easy but it takes a lot of practice and experience to ensure that any product is coated with a beautiful even coat. Leave it to us! Our experienced powder coating experts ensure consistent application on the product. Using an electrostatic process, the powder particles are charged in order to adhere to the substrate in a smooth, even layer. Our equipment are regularly maintained and cleaned to prevent any application issues.

Step 3

The third step is the curing. Our massive oven allows products as long as 6 meters long to cure. Proper curing is important as it establishes longevity to the coat and ensures that the colour is completely developed. Over-curing or under-curing will result in the shortcoming in performance, colour and finish. This process typically takes less than 25 minutes. The temperature and time it takes to cure a surface very much are based on several factors such as the size of the product, thickness of the coating and coating material used.
